Welcome to my work in progress. A little rough around the edges, but hopefully will educate as well as provide some relief for those also going through the craziness of daily life with Autism. Hope you enjoy it :o)

Five Question Friday

1. What's your favorite way to spend down time (alone or with a significant other)?
Reading. My current book obsessions are Janet Evanovich. I'm also in the middle of War and Peace, and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Those took a back burner when I discovered JE. And I need to start the ones that True Blood is based on. Because someone is bugging me about it ;-)
I don't have a SO, but if I did, I'd want to go to a baseball or hockey game with him. Or maybe dinner and a movie. I'm pretty low key. I don't need a lot of fancy in my life.
-
2. Are you the kind of person that wants things more as soon as you know you can't have it?
Pretty much. I've learned to live without a lot though, so I've come to realize that I actually don't NEED a lot of things.
-
3. If you were given $1000 to spend on yourself, what would you buy?
Tattoos. I have two in mind for sure that I want, (the Twins TC logo on top of my left foot, and the Autism ribbon on my right wrist) and I'm sure I'd figure out more. I'd also buy out the Twins Pro Shop. And a Cuddyer Rockies jersey.
-
4. Do you ever go out to eat by yourself?
NO. Anxiety prevents me from doing that. It even kicks in when it's a new place with someone I know. It's awful.
-
5. What company would you want to do a blog review for?
Hmm. Someplace I've never been or don't go often. I'm probably biased when it comes to places like Target.

He left a 12 yr old, and came home a teenager.

As if that doesn't make me feel really old. (it does) In a year and a half, I'll have two teenagers. I'm not doing the math beyond that, however.

I had all these things I wanted to say about Nicholas. He's shy, sensitive, caring, a thinker, and loves anything science related. He's my firstborn, and I still think of him as my baby.

Happy 13th, Nicholas!

Five Question Friday

1. How often do you shave your legs in the winter?

HA. I aim for every week, but I think I just went over two weeks without shaving. #Sasquatch
2. Valentine's Day cards for your spouse: funny or romantic?

No current spouse or SO, but when I did, funny.
3. What are you most looking forward to about spring?

BASEBALL. BASEBALL. BASEBALL.
4. What's your favorite way to pamper yourself?

I have no idea. I don't do the whole spa/hour long bubble bath thing. I get bored.
5. Does your tax return go into savings or do you spend it instantly?

Spend. Duh.

Five question Friday

1. What have you done recently that you are proud of?

I try to be proud of myself everyday, dealing with Autism and Aspergers. And trying to be a good example to my kids.

2. What is your favorite way to work out? Or if you don't workout, what are you wanting to try?

Huh. Workout. What is that, exactly? Ha. I like lifting weights. When I had a gym membership, I liked the ellyptical too. I try to walk everyday. I don't do it everyday, but I need to be better at it. I'd like to take a Zumba class.
3. If you knew your best friend was cheating on their spouse would you tell?

I'd talk to my friend and see if I couldn't get him/her to fess up. And then I'd tell. And punch them in the face.

4. If you could afford a live-in maid or nanny, would you have one?

HA. No. I'm way too OCD for that. I don't like people touching my stuff. I wig out.

5. Do you stress out about birthdays (specifically the age) or do you enjoy them?

I LOVE my birthdays!! All about me, hello! (I'm 36, btw)

And, a bonus question from Scott, that I wasn't brave enough to put in as a regular question...answer at your own risk, or not at all! (Or something...)

Bonus: Lights off or on?

Hmm. Two years ago, I would have said off, definitely off!! But as I mature (snort) I'm getting over myself. So, off...on....candle...tv....hall light...whatev. Life's too short to worry about that kind of stuff.
